The European Robotics Forum, the most influential meeting of the robotics community in Europe, has been held physically for the first time after the COVID-19 crisis, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Over 800 European robotics top experts are expected to attend the 12th edition of the conference. ERF2022 hosted a major exhibition where companies, universities and research institutes showcase the most advanced European prototypes, products, services and projects funded under EU’s Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe research programme.
Within this context the 9th Workshop on Hybrid Production Systems took place on June 30th.
It consisted of a series of targeted presentations of approximately 10 minutes each on different aspects of Hybrid Production systems, given by speakers from organizations throughout Europe, representing RTOs, Industries and Academics. Presentations included:
- Early results from just started research projects.
- They were in the form of elevator pitches, focusing on the innovation idea, its benefit to potential users and a short proof of concept.
- Technologies from more mature projects
- They were focused on technologies that have been developed within the research project, ready to be picked up by a larger user group to expand the potential customer base or that already are in the commercialization phase.
It was a great opportunity for the aforementioned stakeholders to listen the technical activities that are performed in a number of European funded projects and learn about the developments on key technologies. The projects presented, among others, were the following:
- REMODEL
- SHERLOCK
- HR-RECYCLER
- ROSSINI
- ODIN
- COLLABORATE
- SHAREWORK
